The disallowing of less secure apps is intentional. We recommend you only use Google's token authentication services for email access not only for your Woodward provided email but also any personal emails accounts you have. Until Microsoft and Google work on a solution to the secure authentication issue you will not be able to use mail clients that do not support Google authorization with your Woodward email account.
You might be able to use some non-Google Mail clients by enabling 2-step authentication for your email account, but this is not always the case. Instructions for turning 2-step authentification on are available online.
